Because contacts are the reason for using Adenzo, you use companies to gain access to its employees. You can create lists of companies to research and potentially add contacts from the company into your contact lists. You can add individual companies manually, but you can also use the Adenzo tool to add multiple companies or import companies from a CSV file.

Adding Companies Manually

This section gives you information about adding one company at a time. You can also add multiple companies quickly by searching on LinkedIn or yell.com using the Adenzo Chrome extension. The other way to get companies into your Adenzo account is to import the data. See Importing Companies for details.

To manually add a company to a company list:

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Company Lists.
  2. Scroll to the group with the list in it.
  3. In the row for that company list, on the right, click the Add Company to List button, Add button.

  4. On the Add New Company page, fill in the information you have about the company. You must provide a name and you probably want to specify a list other than the Default list.
    On this page, you can center information about: Company Data, Contact Info, Address, and Permissions for sharing the company information. On this page, you can also use custom fields created for your specific needs.

  5. If you have set up custom fields, add that information if it is available.
  6. If you already have contacts from this company in Adenzo, in the Link Contacts section, you can search for them and associate them with this company.
  7. Click Create.

Viewing Company Details

If you’ve added companies to a list either manually or from other methods, you can view the information about individual companies.

To view details about a company:

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Company Lists.
  2. Scroll to the group with the list in it.
  3. On the right side of the row for the list, click the View Companies in List button, View Companies in List button.
  4. On the right side of the row for the company, click the company’s name or click the View Details button, View Details button.

Removing Companies from a Company List

You may find that you’ve added a company that is not relevant for your business needs. If so, you can remove that company from your lists.

To remove a company from a list:

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Company Lists.
  2. Scroll to the group with the list in it.
  3. In the row for that company list, click the company’s name or click the View Companies in List button, View Companies in List button, on the right.
  4. Scroll as needed to that company’s row. (If necessary, you can search for the company.)
  5. In the row for that company, click the Delete Company button, Delete button, on the right.
  6. In the confirmation message, click OK.
You can also follow the procedure to edit the company’s information, but click Delete Company at the bottom of the Edit Company Details page, and then click OK.

Editing Company Information

Perhaps you didn’t have all the relevant information available when you created a company in Adenzo… or perhaps, the company relocated. If something like this happens, you can update the company information.

To edit company information:

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Company Lists.
  2. Scroll to the group with the list in it.
  3. In the row for that company list, click the company’s name or click the View Companies in List button, View Companies in List button, on the right.
  4. Scroll as needed to that company’s row. (If necessary, you can search for the company.)
  5. In the row for that company, click the Edit Company button, Edit button, on the right.
  6. On the Edit Company Details page, adjust the information as needed.
  7. Click Update.
