You use email templates to send email messages to prospective leads in a staged campaign. Adenzo fills in each template with personalised information for each contact in that stage.

Creating Email Templates

You can develop generic email templates that you can use in different campaigns or focused templates for a specific need.

To create an email template:

  1. On the left navigation bar click Settings > Email Templates.
  2. At the top of the Email Templates page, click + New Template.

  3. In the Create New Email Template dialog, type a name for this template in the Name box.
    This is not the name for a recipient.
  4. Type a subject line for the email message in the Subject box.
  5. Type the content to be sent in the email message in the Message box.
  6. If you wish, style and format the text using the options on the toolbar. See below for details.
  7. To add placemarkers for variable data, select an item from the Merge Tags list.
  8. To attach a file to this template, which will be sent with all email messages, click Attach Files. In the Add New Files dialog, click My Computer, click the box with a dotted line around it, in the Open dialog, locate and select the file, Click Open and click Done.
    You can also attach files from a Google Drive.
  9. Click Save.

From left to right, the text toolbar includes:

  • Code: Click to work in HTML code.
  • Paragraph Styles: Select text and then select a style to apply.
  • Bold, Italic, Strikethrough: Select text and then click a button to apply that style.
  • Bulleted List: Select text and convert to a bulleted list.
  • Numbered List: Select text and convert to a numbered list.
  • Outdent: Click to outdent (remove an indent) the current paragraph.
  • Indent: Click to indent the current paragraph.
  • Image: Click to insert an image.
  • Video: Click to insert the code for including a video.
  • Table Commands: Click to apply various commands for creating and adjusting tables.
  • Hyperlink Commands: Click to insert a link or unlink an existing link.
  • Alignment Commands: Specify the paragraph alignment.
  • Horizontal Rule: Click to insert a horizontal rule into the message.
  • Merge Tags List: Specify a variable to be used in the message, such as First Name.

Viewing Email Templates

To view the email template with the variables indicated:

  1. On the left navigation bar click Settings > Email Templates.
  2. On the Email Templates page, scroll until you find the template to view.
  3. On the right side of the row for that template, click the View Details button, View Details button.

Editing Email Templates

To edit an existing email template:

  1. On the left navigation bar click Settings > Email Templates.
  2. On the Email Templates page, scroll until you find the template to view.
  3. On the right side of the row for that template, click the Edit button, Edit button.

  4. Adjust the template as needed.
  5. Click Save.

Deleting Email Templates

You can delete any template that you no longer need.

To delete a template:

  1. On the left navigation bar click Settings > Email Templates.
  2. On the Email Templates page, scroll until you find the template to view.
  3. On the right side of the row for that template, click the Delete button, Delete button.
  4. In the confirmation message, click OK.
